The program offers:
- Presentations and workshops on a variety of CMHA programs and services and mental health topics
- information, including newsletters, a web site, books, videos and multilingual brochures
- Awareness displays that promote mental health to community residents, employees and volunteers.
- The program coordinates:
- Annual public education campaigns, such as Mental Health Week during the first week in May, led by CMHA National; and Mental Illness Awareness Week, in the third week of October, led by the Canadian Alliance on Mental Illness and Mental Health.
- Media campaigns
- The Community Information program, which helps people find mental health services in York Region and South Simcoe. We answer questions by phone, email, or in person. The program maintains mental health resource lists, which are available on our web site and throughout the community.
