Geriatric Mental Health

The Geriatric Mental Health Program is dedicated to building partnerships and enhancing opportunities for developing resources and support networks for seniors with serious mental illness and other health related challenges.

The program offers:

  • Health assessment and counselling
  • Service coordination and referral
  • Mental health care and treatment
  • Time-limited personal care support
  • Education and group support for seniors presenting with concurrent disorders and related dementias, their family members and informal caregivers
  • Presentations and workshops on a variety of topics such as geriatric mental health, chronic disease management, concurrent disorders , medications and side-effects for front-line workers from the mental health, addictions and senior communities
